That's a really great work you have done, and really useful for us to be able to read about this without having to go through all these articles! It was an interesting read. Hopefully too, because maybe one day she will release new music and tour again. In a way, because she doesn't seem to like it much, I don't want her to do it but I'm sure that if she decides to do so, it means she really wants to so... Fingers crossed. I dream to see her perform live! I understand her though, the touring life is special and not for everyone, and nowadays you need to be on socials and stuff and... it doesn't seem to fit her st all so she made the right choice.

Thank you very much for your comment and above all for your understanding.

I wanted to share this newsletter for that very reason. Everyone keeps wondering when she's going to be back, and that might be a bit stressful for her. It seems like the harder you push someone, the less they’re inclined to give you what you’re after. It's sort of like trying to tighten a screw the wrong way, you know? 🙃

We can quietly wish for her return, and I bet we all feel that way, and still be happy that she's enjoying her life. Whenever she's ready, we'll be ready too!

I hope she releases more music while I am still alive so I can hear it. I still play her music because it is just that good.

I was a 22 year old kid in 1988,running for my life from a brutally abusive man, when I first heard"Fast Car".It spoke volumes to me.It still does.It is one of the songs I stop everything to listen to.

Love love love Tracy Chapman!!She is one of a kind,a genius, and can speak to a single heart or a multitude.

She is so much a blessing! 💕

Dear Aurelie,

The first time I heard Tracy was in 1987 or thereabouts (I'm too old to remember), but it was when the song Talking About a Revolution came out—I'm still guessing here!

I am writing this to say, what a remarkable job you are doing, and I wish you all the best.
